Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth to Broadcast Steelers-Chiefs Playoff Game

Al Michael and Cris Collinsworth will have the call for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ AFC Wild Card playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The longtime NBC duo will call the Sunday Night Football broadcast. With NBC getting two Wild Card games as part of the enlarged opening weekend of the NFL playoffs, Mike Tirico and Drew Brees called Saturday afternoon’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders.

The playoff game will mark the third time this season that the Steelers have appeared on Sunday Night Football. They beat the Seattle Seahawks in overtime on Oct. 17 and lost two the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 21.

Michaels called only the latter game, taking the week of the Steelers’ first appearance on NBC this season off. Tirico filled in for him for that game.

Michele Tafoya will be the sideline reporter for the NBC broadcast. The game will be broadcast nationwide by NBC, with WPXI-TV locally carrying the broadcast. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m.

On the radio side, Bill Hillgrove, Craig Wolfley and sideline reporters Missi Matthews and Max Starks will have the call on the Steelers Radio Network, including flagship WDVE-FM 102.5 in Pittsburgh.

Kevin Harlan, Trent Green and sideline reporter Olivia Harlan-Dekker will handle the national radio broadcast on Westwood Radio.
