Carson Bruener, Washington Huskies

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue their draft as they add depth at linebacker in the seventh round. With the 226th pick, the Steelers selected Carson Bruener of Washington. Here are a few things to know about the former Huskies linebacker.

Bruener is a native of Washington where he graduated high school at Redmond.

As part of the 2020 recruiting class, Bruener was a three-star prospect who received multiple offers from the then PAC-12. He ultimately decided to stay in his home state and enroll at Washington.

Bruener saw early action as he started from 2021-2024. His senior season was his best yet as he racked up 104 tackles, three interceptions, and five passes defensed.

He received multiple honors in college including his 2023 Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 team and 2024 third-team All-Big-Ten Conference.
