CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso has unveiled his latest two-round mock draft, and is projecting the Pittsburgh Steelers to select a running back and an offensive tackle.

With their first round selection, Trapasso has the Steelers drafting Clemson running back Travis Etienne.

One of the most dominant players in college football history, Etienne exits Clemson as a two-time Consensus All-American, two-time ACC Player of the Year and a national champion in 2018.

He rushed for 4,952 career yards and 70 touchdowns, while also tallying 102 receptions for 1,155 yards and eight more scores. Etienne is the NCAA’s all-time leader in total games with a touchdown at 46.

Pittsburgh’s coaching staff met with Etienne back at the Clemson pro day on March 11, so the club is clearly eyeing the playmaker with their No. 24-overall pick.

In the second round, CBS Sports projects the Steelers to select Notre Dame offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg. Measuring in at 6-foot-5, 302 pounds, Eichenberg started 38 games for the Irish over the last three seasons. He was named a consensus All-American a season ago.

SteelersNow’s Nick Farabaugh believes Eichenberg can make an immediate impact.

“Eichenberg is a plug-and-play starter in Year 1,” Farabaugh said. “He is super polished and ready to make that leap to the NFL. Eichenberg has precise, strong hands. He understands how to frame blocks and push up front at the point of attack. There is no doubt that Eichenberg has a lot of power behind his frame.”

The 2021 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday, April 29 in Cleveland.
