Contract Details Revealed for Steelers Latest Free Agent Signing

The contract details have been revealed for the new deal between the Pittsburgh Steelers and backup tackle Calvin Anderson.
According to Over the Cap, Anderson’s two-year deal with the Steelers is worth a total of $4 million, with $830,000 of it guaranteed in the form of a signing bonus paid this season.
Anderson will also have a salary of $1.17 million this season and his cap hit in 2025 will be $1.585 million.
Next year, Anderson will be owed a $500,000 roster bonus on the third day of the new league year in March 2026, and then a $1.5 millions salary over the course of the 2026 season. His cap hit in 2026 will be $2.415 million.
Anderson joined the Steelers early on in the 2024 season, and earned $1.125 million last season.

The 29-year-old was signed by the Steelers after tackle Troy Fautanu was lost for the Steelers to a knee injury. The Steelers immediately plugged Anderson into their swing backup tackle slot, and he remained there until he was placed on the injured reserve list with a groin injury on Dec. 12. Anderson was activated in time to appear in the Wild Card playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
In total, Anderson played in four regular-season games, playing in 11 snaps of offense for the Steelers, and also played in 29 snaps in the Wild Card loss — all of which came at left tackle.
Before joining the Steelers, Anderson spent three years with the Denver Broncos and had two stints with the New England Patriots.
Anderson will be the top backup at both tackle positions in 2025, slotting in behind former first-round draft picks Fautanu and Broderick Jones.
Former undrafted free agents Dylan Cook and Doug Nester are the only other tackles on the roster for 2025 at this time. Backup guard Spencer Anderson has also played tackle.
