Daily Links: Former QBs Support Pickens, Ravens Own Steelers without Ben

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have won four straight games against the Baltimore Ravens, but they’ve struggled in one scenario that they’ll be in this Sunday and former Steelers quarterbacks are chiming in to support George Pickens.

🏈 The Steelers have lost 10 of their last 11 games against the Ravens when anyone other than Ben Roethlisberger was under center for the Steelers, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Pittsburgh lost twice in 2019, with Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges starting those games. Roethlisberger won his final four against Baltimore in 2020-21. Kenny Pickett will make his first start in the rivalry this Sunday.

🏈 Levi Wallace has allowed just a 19.1 passer rating against when in single coverage this season, according to Pro Football Focus. That’s No. 1 in the league. In single coverage, he has three interceptions. five pass breakups and has not allowed a touchdown.

🏈 Pitt extended an offer to 2026 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) wide receiver Justice Fitzpatrick, who is the younger brother of Steelers free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

🏈 Former Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart isn’t worried about George Pickens. Stewart said on 93.7 the Fan that he considered Pickens’ reaction to not getting the football a competitor’s reaction, and not a diva’s reaction. “You can’t beat the kid up. He’s not a diva.”

🏈 Ben Roethlisberger also chimed in on Pickens’ situation during his Footbahlin podcast.

🏈 His struggles against the Steelers were the final straw, as the Atlanta Falcons have benched quarterback Marcus Mariota for rookie Desmond Ridder out of Cincinnati. The Steelers held Mariota to 13 of 24 for 167 yards, one touchdown and the game-sealing interception.
