🏈 Jeremy Fowler of ESPN thinks $30 million per season would be a suitable price tag for Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Tee Higgins.
“The over/under on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins’ market is $30 million per season, and the majority of team personnel that I spoke with believe he’ll hit or clear the over. The lowest estimate I heard was somewhere slightly above DeVonta Smith’s three-year, $75 million deal. The rest saw him breaking into the $30 million range, based on his status as a No. 1-caliber receiver and the number of teams desperate for pass-catching help,” Fowler wrote.
🏈 The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Chip Kelly as their new offensive coordinator. Kelly joins Pete Carroll’s staff after one season as Ohio State’s OC, which ended in a National Championship. Kelly was lured to Vegas with a deal averaging $6 million per year, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. Kelly is now the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator.
🏈 Steelers All-Pro free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had a pick-six in the Pro Bowl. The pass was thrown by Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Overall, Fitzpatrick had two INTs.
🏈 Russell Wilson threw an absolute dime to Ja’Marr Chase for a touchdown in the Pro Bowl. Overall, Wilson had three touchdown passes in the game. He also connected to Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. and Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon for scores.
🏈 Russell Wilson was grateful to participate in the Pro Bowl with his Steelers teammates.
