? Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden went through the key matchups in Sunday’s Steelers-Commanders game.

“The Commanders got to deal with Najee Harris, one of the hottest backs in football,” Gruden said. “The running backs of the Pittsburgh Steelers are outstanding. I don’t like Najee Harris, I love him. Great stiff arm, big back with quick feet and he has great balance and he will lower the boom on you.”

? The Steelers have out-scored teams 53-0 in the third quarter this season.

? WPXI: A local man celebrated his 100th birthday with a Black and Gold party on Thursday.

Williams Rogers has outlived his immediate family but his friend and neighbors still made his monumental day special for him.

They nominated him for a party with the “Twilight Wish Foundation” and were able to create a Pittsburgh Steelers-themed birthday party for his special day.

? The New York Times have run 665,000 simulations with the Steelers remaining schedule. They say the Steelers have an 83% chance to make the playoffs.

? The Commanders are signing veteran kicker Zane Gonzalez to the practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Austin Seibert (hip) has been limited the last two days and there’s some uncertainty regarding his status for Sunday against the Steelers.

? Former Washington linebacker Lavar Arrington is the “Legend of the Game” for Sunday’s matchup between the Steelers and Commanders. Arrington, who is a Pittsburgh native, starred a North Hills High School and Penn State before being selected at second overall in the 2000 NFL Draft by Washington.

? Colin Cowherd of FS1 picked the Steelers to beat the Commanders on Sunday.

“I’m going to take Mike Tomlin off a bye as an underdog,” Cowherd said. “He’s the best underdog coach maybe of this generation. Take the Steelers +3 points. Back to back games with 400 plus yards. Russell Wilson is really keying in on George Pickens. Thriving together. Here’s the thing their defense is terrific. Number one red zone defense. So even if Washington busts off some big plays they will settle more often for field goals than touchdowns and the Commanders defense is bad. 28th best red zone defense. I kind of like what I’ve seen from Pittsburghs run game in the red zone. I have a feeling Pittsburgh’s going to control the clock, pound the rock, move the pocket. I’m taking Mike Tomlin off the bye plus the points as an underdog to beat Washington 27-24.”

? Ryan Clark thinks the Steelers can expose the Commanders defense in one key area.

“Push the football down the field. Russell Wilson has been great pushing the football down the field and guys like George Pickens and Calvin Austin,” Clark said. “This is the week to do that. You’re going to get man-to-man on this backend of the Commanders defense. So to me it’s take the top off of the defense and then rely on Najee Harris and some of that power running game to give you those opportunities when the Washington Commanders have to stack the box. I don’t know if there is a better 50-50 ball catcher in football than George Pickens and some of those balls that Russell Wilson have thrown the last two weeks have really exemplified it.”

? Former Steelers cornerback William Gay, who’s now an assistant defensive backs coach with the Commanders, shared the secret sauce to Mike Tomlin’s consistency.

“I’m gonna hit you with a Mike Tomlin saying: The secret sauce is there is no secret sauce,” Gay told reporters.
