🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was glad to have J.J. Watt at Tuesday’s practice.

“The only thing better than having one Watt on the field, is having two Watts on the field. Thanks for hanging with us, @JJWatt,” Tomlin wrote on X.

Watt responded back, “It’s easy to understand why your players will run thru walls for you Coach. It was an honor and a pleasure, thanks for having me.”

🏈 J.J. Watt enjoyed spending time with the Steelers and his brother T.J. over the last few days.

“Glorious day for some football in Pittsburgh. Slight chill in the air, pads poppin, season just around the corner. So much pride watching @_TJWatt work, talking ball with the boys, being on the grass again. Thanks for letting me hang out for a few days @steelers,” J.J. Watt wrote on X.

🏈 The Steelers have the worst odds (+750) to win the AFC North this season, according to FOX Sports. The Baltimore Ravens are the favorites at +145, followed by the Cincinnati Bengals (+165) and Cleveland Browns (+450). Based off how the Steelers have performed in the preseason, Stephen A. Smith thinks they have last place written all over them.

🏈 The San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had another meeting on Tuesday and talks continue to progress on a long-term contract extension. There has been movement on a deal, but there are some minor details that still need to be ironed out with ownership approval, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

🏈 Despite the offensive issues in the preseason so far, former NFL general manager Michael Lombardi thinks Mike Tomlin will figure out a strategy that will give his team a chance to win.

🏈 In 24 pass-blocking snaps in Saturday night’s game against Buffalo, Steelers rookie center Zach Frazier allowed zero sacks and pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. He received an overall passing-blocking grade of 82.3.

🏈 Tuesday marked the 40th anniversary of when the Steelers cut Franco Harris. Despite Harris needing only 363 yards for the NFL career rushing record, the Steelers choose to end his holdout by waiving him. He briefly played for Seattle before retiring, never breaking the record.
