🏈 The Las Vegas Raiders released former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Zach Gentry on Tuesday. The Raiders signed Gentry from the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad last December.

The Steelers’ fifth-round pick out of Michigan in 2019, recorded 39 receptions for 303 yards in four seasons with Pittsburgh (2019-2022). Gentry was released among the final Steelers cuts coming out of training camp last year.

🏈 Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is expected to play in the team’s season opener, head coach Zac Taylor said Tuesday.

Chase ended his hold-in on Sunday and practiced with the team for the first time since the start of training camp.

With the season approaching, Chase returned to the field, despite not having a new deal inked. The Bengals open the regular season in two weeks against the New England Patriots.

🏈 Former NFL general manager Michael Lombardi thinks Russell Wilson not turning the ball over is going to be the deciding factor for the Steelers this season.

“Mike Tomlin won 10 games last year without very good play from their quarterbacks. Russell Wilson protected the ball for the most part last year and I think that’s gonna be the deciding factor,” Lombardi said on the Pat McAfee Show.

🏈 Russell Wilson thinks the sky’s the limit for George Pickens.

“I’ve been around guys like D.K. (Metcalf), Tyler Lockett be great every day. Guys like Courtland Sutton, Doug Baldwin, Sidney Rice. I think George (Pickens) has every bit of potential to be one of the best to play this game,” Wilson said on Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast.

🏈 NFL owners voted in favor of private equity ownership of up to 10% for its teams, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

🏈 The Washington Commanders and Northwest Federal Credit Union are announcing an exclusive naming-rights agreement for the team’s stadium. The team will usher in a new era at Northwest Stadium for its Sept. 15th home opener against the New York Giants. The Steelers play the Commanders in Week 10 at Northwest Stadium.
