🏈 “Duck Dynasty” star and former Louisiana Tech quarterback Phil Robertson passed away on Sunday. He was 79. Robertson was teammates with Terry Bradshaw at LA Tech.
Bradshaw once remarked about Robertson’s love of hunting, saying “… Phil Robertson, loved hunting more than he loved football. He’d come to practice directly from the woods, squirrel tails hanging out of his pockets, duck feathers on his clothes. Clearly he was a fine shot, so no one complained too much.”
🏈 Pro Football Network ranked the top 10 quarterbacks in the 2026 NFL Draft. Clemson’s Cade Klubnik came in at No. 1.
🏈 Former Steelers wide receiver Markus Wheaton revealed that he suffered multiple injuries during his career.
“Too many to count,” Wheaton said about his injuries on the Road Less Travel podcast.. “Too many to count. There was a lot of surgeries on the back end. There was concussions, right? So my brain is a little messed up. I’m dealing with that day-to-day.
“I go to catch a ball, and my pinky finger, the bone comes out of my pinky. “And I look at my hand and my pinky’s off to the side. There’s blood, and I take my glove off. And I’m like (expletive). And it freaking ate me up.”

🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis was inducted Friday into the Cotton Bowl Classic Hall of Fame with its Class of 2025.
In the 1993 Cotton Bowl, Bettis, as a junior running back for Notre Dame, rushed 20 times for 75 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns. He also caught one pass for a 26-yard touchdown. Bettis’ standout performance led the Fighting Irish to a 28-3 victory over Texas A&M.
