🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth could breakout in Arthur Smith’s tight end-friendly offense.

“It’s very exciting,” Freiermuth said, via Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “With Arthur here, there’s a lot of stuff for the tight ends, situations where you want to make those plays. I’m excited for that. I’m ready to roll.”

🏈 ESPN’s Mike Clay ranked the Steelers’ running backs tandem of Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Cordarrelle Patterson as the No. 11 unit in the NFL.

🏈 Mike Tomlin and LeVelle Moton discussed the importance of women at the Next Up Coaches
Conference. Tomlin joined Moton, who’s the head men’s basketball coach at North Carolina Central University, to host the first Next Up Coaches Conference in Raleigh on Friday, inviting coaches, administrators, and hiring firms to share insight and guidance on how to advance in the profession.

🏈 Mike Tomlin also spoke at the event on what he learned from former West Virginia and Cincinnati men’s head basketball coach Bob Huggins and how he applies it in his coaching today.

🏈 For the first time, Justin Fields was featured in the Black and Gold.

🏈 Mason Rudolph spoke to the Tennessee media about his late-season surge last season with the Steelers.

“Got an opportunity to play and loved it. Had a lot of fun. I’ve got a lot of great relationships with the guys in Pittsburgh and we were able to clinch a playoff berth. Didn’t get it done, didn’t play as well as we would’ve liked in the Wild Card game but I was happy with the way I played, the way we played,” Rudolph said, via Buck Reising of A to Z Sports.

🏈 Country music start Kenny Chesney will perform at Acrisure Stadium for the 12th time on Saturday night.
