Hodges started the Rams’ first preseason game against the LA Chargers on August 14, completing 11 of 19 passes for 85 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception, resulting in a 47 quarterback rating. He did not see action this past Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders with Bryce Perkins playing the entire game.
The 25-year-old undrafted free agent from Samford finished 3-3 as a starter for the Steelers in 2019 with Ben Roethlisberger out for the season, throwing for 1,063 yards, five touchdowns, and eight interceptions in eight total games, including a 24-17 victory on Sunday Night Football in front of a Steeler-heavy crowd in LA against the Chargers.
Hodges spent the 2020 season on the Steelers practice squad before signing a reserve/futures deal with the Rams on January 24.
