Former Steelers CB Shares Shocking Plan For Offense: ‘Get Rid Of Everybody’
Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Patrick Peterson shares his plan to help turn the team's offense around.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Patrick Peterson believes he has the answer to turning around the team’s offense this offseason, and it includes a lot of turnover.
During head coach Mike Tomlin’s end-of-season news conference, he hinted there will be several changes coming this offseason.
“Certainly, there’s change that comes when you don’t have the desired outcome,” Tomlin said. “Those are just the realities of the business. I would imagine there’s going to be some things that change around here on a lot of levels.”
However, Peterson is ready to take that statement to a whole other level.
“Man, I’m getting rid of everybody on the offensive side of the ball,” Peterson said on the “All Things Covered” podcast. “Except for the offensive line.”
While Peterson’s plan seems a little far-fetched, he may get his wish, at least for the most part. The Steelers have several offensive players who will have the chance to hit the open market this offseason.
Quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Kyle Allen, running back Najee Harris, and wide receivers Mike Williams and Van Jefferson, among others, are all set to become unrestricted free agents.

Starting left tackle Dan Moore Jr. and right guard James Daniels may also be heading elsewhere with their contracts expiring following the 2024 season. It’s safe to assume the Steelers will cut at least a few players under contract in 2025, too.
That doesn’t mean the Steelers won’t try to re-sign any of them, but they will likely let most walk with the hopes of trying something different to end their eight-year playoff win drought.
Wilson or Fields could be one of those the Steelers will look to retain with what seems to be underwhelming pool of free agents and a weak quarterback class in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Peterson would disagree with that choice, though.
“We got to go get a quarterback,” he said.
Starting from scratch may be the Steelers’ best chance to get the results they desire, but that will only put more pressure on them to hit on several picks in this year’s draft.
