Four of the Steelers’ 2021 rookies are listed with the first team in the club’s official depth chart ahead of the Week 1.

Najee Harris being the starting running back is not unexpected, as the team’s first-round pick has been the primary option at that position since arriving in Pittsburgh.

But the other three are more recent developments.

Second-round tight end Pat Freiermuth has been elevated from the second team to a co-starter with Eric Ebron after an impressive preseason.

Third-round pick Kendrick Green has been playing ahead of veteran J.C. Hassenauer since the start of training camp, but is now officially listed as such for the first time.

Finally, fourth-round tackle Dan Moore Jr. has officially been elevated to the starter’s spot at left tackle after Zach Banner was placed on injured reserve. Chukwuma Okorafor moved from right tackle to left.

Some other notable listings on the depth chart before the Buffalo game:

• New cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon is listed as the third-team outside corner, behind both Justin Layne and James Pierre.

• The team did not list a Nickel defender, as they had throughout training camp. Arthur Maulet is also not listed anywhere on the depth chart.

• Benny Snell Jr. will back up Harris, with Kalen Ballage listed as the third-string back.

• Marcus Allen and Robert Spillane are the backups at inside linebacker, with Ulysees Gilbert III and Buddy Johnson making up the third team. Allen dealt with a hamstring injury late in training camp.
