Pittsburgh Steelers free agent quarterback Russell Wilson will continue his search for who he will play for in 2025. The veteran was seen leaving the Cleveland Browns facility on Thursday and there are no reports of a deal.

Wilson is currently weighing his options as the Steelers seem to be waiting on quarterback Aaron Rodgers to decide who he wants to play for in 2025. His decision seems to be narrowed down between Pittsburgh and the New York Giants.

However, that could change on Friday when Wilson has another free agent visit with the Giants, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

If Wilson were to agree to sign with the Giants on Friday, that would leave the Steelers as the heavy favorite to land Rodgers, if he chooses to continue playing football, of course.

If not, anything can happen. The Steelers have not had any discussions with Wilson on a new contract, according to report on Tuesday from the New York Post. But if Pittsburgh’s unable to land Rodgers, it may revisit a reunion with Wilson.

It’s no accident Wilson’s visits with the Browns and Giants have become publicized. He is likely putting pressure on the Steelers to make a decision on their quarterback decision.

That could be more difficult after Pittsburgh reunited with former third-round quarterback Mason Rudolph on Thursday, though.

The Steelers have turned to Rudolph on several occasions and could do so once again, even if Rodgers were to sign elsewhere or retire.

It remains to be seen when Rodgers will make his decision, but Wilson doesn’t seem to be wasting any time in his. He may just have his new team by the end of Friday.

In 2024, Wilson completed 214 of 336 passes (63.7%) for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also ran 43 times for 155 yards and two more scores.
