PITTSBURGH — The Bus is back in town. Hall of Famer and former Steelers running back Jerome Bettis is attending the Steelers vs. Bengals matchup at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday. Bettis is in Pittsburgh at the game for a new commercial in conjunction with the Steelers Pro Shop,
Bettis may not live in Pittsburgh anymore, but he is still around Pittsburgh often. He has hosted golf outings and hosts the Jerome Bettis Show on WPXI. Earlier in the year, Bettis affirmed his belief in Najee Harris and his belief that the running game could be leaned upon by the Steelers with Harris in the backfield.
Other Steelers alumni have attended games in the past, including the Hall of Honor class, Ben Roethlisberger, and others. Bettis is just one of many former Steelers players who remain active in the community with the team and often return to the team from time to time.
In the past, Harris has talked about his relationship with Bettis. Bettis has become a mentor of sorts to Harris, and they have watched film together. He even helped Harris ingest some of the cultures that the Steelers would expect from a young leader on the offensive side of the football.
