JuJu Smith-Schuster Drafts Himself in New Yahoo! Fantasy Football Commercial

Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has inked an endorsement deal with Yahoo! fantasy sports, and as part of his television commercial, drafted himself in a fantasy league.

In the commercial, Smith-Schuster picked himself No. 3 overall, despite his average draft position in Yahoo! leagues putting him in the ninth round.

NFL players are not allowed to play in fantasy football games with more than $250 in prizes, according to league rules. Smith-Schuster said if he was going to play for real, he said he’d try to pick some of the NFL’s top superstars, and also himself.

“I would draft a team full of my teammates if I could, but I know that’s probably not the best team if you’re trying to win a fantasy league,” he said through a publicist. “If I were playing to win, I’d go with (Pat) Mahomes at QB, CMC (Christian McCaffery) and Najee (Harris) at RB, D Hop (DeAndre Hopkins) and Mike Evans at WR, and (Travis) Kelce at TE. Got to add myself in too, of course, somewhere there. Steelers Defense to round it out.”
