CINCINNATI — Kendrick Green headlines the Steelers’ list of inactive for their matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers 2021 third-round pick, Kendrick Green made the team, but after the Steelers traded for Jesse Davis prior to Week 1, it appeared Green was likely headed to the inactive list. As such, Davis and J.C. Hassenauer will be the backups at the various guard spots.

Defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk is the inactive defensive lineman for the game. That means that third-round rookie DeMarvin Leal will get a helmet. Loudermilk dealt with a rib injury throughout the late portion of training camp. Pittsburgh still dresses six defensive linemen.

Wide receiver Steven Sims is sitting as well for the Steelers. Diontae Johnson was hampered with a shoulder injury all week, but he is good to go. Sims made the 53-man roster due to his solid contributions, but Miles Boykin’s ability as a gunner earns him a helmet this week.

Seventh-round Steelers rookie linebacker Mark Robinson will sit as well. Marcus Allen’s special teams ability will earn him a helmet as the young Robinson looks to earn a helmet in the coming weeks. For now, he will have to watch from the sideline with plenty of mental reps.

Mason Rudolph as the third quarterback on the depth chart will sit as well. Kenny Pickett has officially won the Steelers backup quarterback job.

For the Bengals, tight end Devin Asiasi will miss the game with a quad injury. Among their other inactive are running back Trayveon Williams, defensive tackle Jay Tufele, tackle D’Ante Smith, and guard Max Scharping. Trent Taylor and Mitchell Wilcox, who came into the game listed as questionable, will play.

Thus, both of these teams appear to be relatively healthy, as there is only one injury-related absence on the 53-man roster for both these teams today.
