Locked On: Art Rooney II Right Not to Hit Reset on Steelers?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not making a major, franchise-altering change this offseason, president Art Rooney II said in his end-of-year press conference on Monday. General manager Omar Khan will be back for 2025. So will head coach Mike Tomlin. So will the team’s coordinators. So will at least one of the club’s two starting quarterbacks.

In many ways, the Steelers will be running back the same plan — if not the same team — for the 2025 season that they did in 2024.

Alan Saunders joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Steelers Podcast to discuss why that makes sense for a team that lost its last five games of the 2025 season and lost its fifth straight playoff game.

The guys also talked about the Steelers quarterback situation entering the 2025 season, and whether or not the Steelers are right to continue to focus on the running game as a way forward for the offense.
