T.J. Watt Not Top-Rated Pass Rusher in Madden 23
Madden 23 dropped their edge rusher rankings and Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt was not the highest rated player. Instead, that honor was bestowed to Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett, who is part of the exclusive 99 club in the game.
Watt is still the second highest rated pass rusher in the game, however. In fact, he leads the position in multiple categories, including having the highest rated finesse moves in the game. Still, he is number two in the hierarchy of the Top 10 pass rushers that were revealed.

This will cause plenty of debate after Watt tied the all-time sack record and won Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. Watt’s rating has climbed up every year, including a two-overall leap from 94 to 96 overall this time around.
Meanwhile, Watt was still rated as the best player on the Steelers to date. It is likely that when all is said and done, that Watt ends up being the highest rated player for the Steelers in Madden 23. However, Myles Jack came in with an 82 overall rating and Devin Bush came in with a 77 overall rating. Here is a full look at the latest Steelers ratings reveal:
T.J. Watt – 96 overall |
Myles Jack – 82 overall |
Devin Bush – 77 overall |
Alex Highsmith – 75 overall |
Larry Ogunjobi – 75 overall |
Chris Wormley – 74 overall |
Robert Spillane – 70 overall |
Genard Avery – 69 overall |
DeMarvin Leal – 68 overall |
Buddy Johnson – 67 overall |
Marcus Allen – 65 overall |
Mark Robinson – 64 overall |
Henry Mondeaux – 64 overall |
Ulysees Gilbert III – 63 overall |
Tuzar Skipper – 62 overall |
Derrek Tuszka – 60 overall |
Most of these are pretty fair ratings. It can be argued to bump up Ogunjobi and Highsmith a little bit. Those are the two here that might feel a little low. Jack’s 82 overall is tied for the 9th best rating among middle linebackers in the game. Tomorrow running back ratings will be revealed. It is possible that the Najee Harris could end up as the highest rated player on the Steelers offense.
