Nine Alabama players are expected to be working out: defensive tackle Christian Barmore, guard Deonte Brown, guard/tackle Alex Leatherwood, long snapper Thomas Fletcher, tight end Miller Forristall, quarterback Mac Jones, linebacker Joshua McMillon, cornerback Patrick Surtain II, and tight end Carl Tucker.
Also in attendance, but not participating in the workouts because of an ankle injury, will be running back Najee Harris, who is a potential fit for the Steelers at No. 24.
Harris was not scheduled to work out, but wanted to be there to support his teammates. When his flight from Dallas to Birmingham was canceled last night, Harris drove nine hours to make it there, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Center Landon Dickerson and linebacker Dylan Moses, who have both been linked to the Steelers at No. 24 and No. 87 respectively, are also not participating due to injury.
