The NFL and NFLPA have announced 45 new confirmed positive COVID-19 tests for the third-straight week in their weekly release testing result.

From Dec. 13 through 19, there were 14 new confirmed positives among players and 31 from staff and other personnel.

In total, 41,501 total tests were administered to 6,927 players and staff members over the period.

While the three-week streak seems like an interesting coincidence, it is also cause for concern, as the case numbers league-wide have remained stagnant and not decreased further following the Baltimore Ravens outbreak last month.

840,460 total tests have been administered to players and personnel dating back to Aug. 1. There have been 560 total confirmed positive cases since then.

Linebacker Vince Williams is the only Pittsburgh Steeler currently on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. He was designated back on Dec. 10, and has missed the last two games.
