Peyton Manning Manningcast Steelers Monday Night Football

The ManningCast has become must-see-TV for some sports fans during Monday Night Football, buy Peyton and Eli Manning will not be offering their alternate broadcast commentary of the Steelers’ first Monday night game of the 2021 season against the Bears Nov. 8 at Heinz Field.

The Manning brothers are working on a limited schedule this year, and have already taken one hiatus during the season. The duo announced at the end of their broadcast of the Kansas City Chiefs win over the New York Giants that they will return in two weeks, when the Los Angeles Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers.

All Monday Night Football games, with or without the Mannings, are also called by the usual broadcast crew of Steve Levy, Brian Griese, Louis Riddick and Lisa Salters on ESPN.

The ManningCast has aired on ESPN2, providing an alternate look at the game, along with guests, that has seemed to resonate among those that are not passionate fans of either team.

Monday Night Football’s ratings have declined and it has lost some of the luster that the brand had when it was the NFL’s peak property in the 1980s and 1990s, but ESPN is attempting to breathe new life into the franchise with the pair of popular former quarterbacks.
