The Pittsburgh Steelers are favored for the first time in the 2022 season for the team’s Week 4 home game against the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium, according to odds posted late Sunday by FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Steelers are 3.5-point favorites against the Jets with a +150 money line, while New York has a -178 money line. The over/under total for the game is 41.5.

The Steelers have been underdog in each of their last three games, winning outright against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, pushing the spread in a loss to the New England Patriots in Week 2 and failing to cover while losing to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.

The Steelers have not been a favorite since facing the Tennessee Titans as a 1.5-point favorite on Dec. 19, 2021. The Steelers covered the spread and won that game. They were underdogs in the final three games of the 2021 regular season, their 2021 playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs and the first three games this season.

The Jets are underdogs for the fourth consecutive game. They won outright against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 but could not cover in losses to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 and the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Two of the three Jets games have gone under the total amount and two of the three Steelers games have gone under the total, including one that went into overtime.

The Steelers lead the all-time series with the Jets, 20-6, but the New Yorkers have won two of the last three and four of the last eight. The Steelers beat the Jets nine straight times following the NFL-AFL merger and Pittsburgh defeated the Jets in 14 of the teams’ first 15 meetings.

The Jets won the last meeting, a 16-10 win at the Meadowlands in 2019 started by Devlin Hodges. The Steelers won the last game between the teams in Pittsburgh, with Ben Roethlisberger throwing four touchdown passes, two to Sammie Coates, in a 31-13 win.
