The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Tuesday they will be honoring former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger at their March 29 game against the New York Rangers.
Roethlisberger will participate in the drop the puck and be recognized in a pregame ceremony as part of the festivities. Fans attending are also encouraged to bring along their Terrible Towels.
A staple at Penguin games throughout his career, Roethlisberger was photographed skating alongside Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin in full uniform at a practice earlier this month.
A two-time Super Bowl champion, Roethlisberger announced his retirement on Jan. 27 as the Steelers’ all-time leader in in passing yards (64,088), touchdowns (418), completions (5,440) and wins (165). He is also top five in nearly every major passing statistic in league history.
