Pirates Hold Moment of Silence for Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins

Published

The death of Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins rocked the Steelers organization and the foundation of Pittsburgh sports as a whole.

Given the camaraderie that the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates share, it is no surprise that the fellow organizations in Pittsburgh are reaching out to the Steelers to offer condolences to the Steelers and the Haskins family. Following Haskins’ death on Saturday, the Penguins held a moment of silence for him.

On Tuesday, the Pirates held a moment of silence for Haskins prior to their home opener against the Chicago Cubs.

Haskins, 24, was tragically involved in a car accident on Saturday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Pirates placed a picture of Haskins on the jumbotron as a tribute to his life. The Pirates, Penguins, and Ohio State all have honored or will honor Haskins following his untimely death.
