PITTSBURGH — Chris Boswell has set the Acrisure Stadium record for longest field goal made with a 59-yard field goal he nailed against the New York Jets on Sunday.

It breaks the previous record, which Boswell owned, which was a 56-yard field goal that he made on September 19th, 2021, against the Las Vegas Raiders a season ago.

In addition, it ties the franchise record for the longest field goal made, which was 59 yards in Dallas during the 2020 season. That is also Boswell’s career-long at home and ties his career-high overall in a Steelers uniform.

The kick allowed the Steelers to cut the New York Jets’ lead from seven to four as they head into the half trailing 10-6.

it continues an array of dominance and consistency that has been set by Boswell throughout his career in Pittsburgh. Boswell has the most 50-yard kicks in Acrisure Stadium history, and continues to be a bastion of consistency for the Pittsburgh Steelers year in and year out.
