The New England Patriots were playing “Renegade” by Styx during Friday night’s preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, according to Mike Giardi of the NFL Network. Giardi tweeted, “That is not right. That is a Steelers song. You do Josie…they get Renegade. It’s science.”

Chris Simms of NBC Sports is worried about Devin Bush. “I’m a little concerned,” Simms said. “I mean, he’s gonna be on the team, but it does not look like the Devin Bush we saw that rookie year before his knee went out. Definitely does not.”

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wonders if Steelers’ second-round pick George Pickens can live up to the preseason hype. “It is impossible to slow down the hype train on George Pickens, who is now actually the betting favorite to be Offensive Rookie of the Year,” Florio said. “I’m not sure I’d make that bet, but that’s how far the hype has got out of control.” … You still only have one football. You have Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool and George Pickens. I don’t know how much of an impact Pickens is going to have.”

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa has high hopes for the Steelers this season. “I always got high hopes for the Steelers. I love Mike (Tomlin),” Khalifa said on SiriusXM. “It’s going to be interesting to see what we do without Ben (Roethlisberger).”

Mike Greenberg made a case for the Steelers to win the AFC North on Get Up. “I think the quarterback play is actually going to be better whether it’s (Mitch) Trubisky or (Kenny) Pickett,” Greenberg said. “I think the Steelers are going (to) not only make the playoffs. I wouldn’t be stunned if they win that very competitive division this year.”

ESPN’s Louis Riddick said on The Rich Eisen Show that it won’t take long until Kenny Pickett is the Steelers’ QB1. “As good as Mitchell Trubisky played (against the Seahawks), and quite honestly, he looked fantastic, I just think it’s going to be Kenny’s time sooner rather than later,” Riddick said. “It’s really a dream situation for him, but I think Pittsburgh sees the writing on the wall.”
