Steelers Rookie RB Suffers Shoulder Injury

Steelers RB Alfonzo Graham

UNITY TWP., Pa — Steelers rookie running back Alfonzo Graham is dealing with a right shoulder injury that could keep him out of practice for the foreseeable future. He missed practice on Sunday, sporting a sling on his right shoulder, and seemingly did not look like he was going to suit up in the near future.

Graham suffered the injury on Saturday during the team’s 7-on-7 period. He rose up to make a grab and came directly down on his shoulder. Trainers immediately looked at it and Graham was carted to the locker room after suffering the injury. He was one of three new injuries the team suffered on Saturday.

The team does not know how significant the injuries to any of the players are just yet. In the environment in Latrobe, it can take more time to find answers to the injuries the Steelers have, and Graham could be one of those injuries. Mike Tomlin revealed that fact when talking about Damontae Kazee and his potential injury.

“I’ll probably give you more information when I get it. But in environments like this, man, we don’t always have immediate answers in that regard,” Tomlin said.

Graham’s injury is a perilous one, as he is on the fence of the roster and could be placed on injured reserve if he misses any significant amount of time due to the injury.
