With the Steelers missing starting safety Terrell Edmunds due to a concussion, it will be the do-it-all swiss army knife man Tre Norwood starting at strong safety alongside Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Norwood replaced Edmunds against the New York Jets last week when he left with injury. This will be Norwood’s first career start at strong safety, and he has played a hefty amount at dimebacker, slot cornerback, and free safety over his career. He started against the Chargers in 2021 at free safety when Fitzpatrick missed a game due to COVID illness.

As for Edmunds, this is only his second missed game of his career. He has been an iron man of sorts for Pittsburgh, but could not clear concussion protocol in order to suit up against the BIlls on Sunday.

With the lineup set, it will be Norwood and Fitzpatrick as the safeties, and Arthur Maulet starting in the slot. It remains to be seen who will play as the dimebacker, or as the strong safety if Norwood retains those responsibiites. Cam Sutton and Levi Wallace will start on the outside, with Sutton not moving inside during subpackages.

Tre Norwood will now look to make a signifcant statement and help Pittsburgh hold Josh Allen and the Bills high powered offenisve attack to minimal points.
