Another MVP quarterback is joining the AFC North after the Pittsburgh Steelers officially agreed to terms with Aaron Rodgers on Thursday. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh reacted to the signing on Friday.

“I don’t really have a reaction, just respect. Respect for the Steelers. Respect for the team that they have, the coaches that they have,” Harbaugh said via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “Obviously, we’ve always respected Aaron Rodgers. He’s a Hall of Fame quarterback. So we’ll have to go against a Hall of Fame quarterback with one of the premiere teams in league, and who happens to be our archrival. So we’ll be preparing for that.”

Rodgers looked far from his four-time NFL MVP self in 2024 while leading the New York Jets to a very disappointing 5-12 finish.

However, the 41-year-old still proved to have some good football left in him after throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Plus, he’s the Steelers best option at quarterback with Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and sixth-round rookie Will Howard also under contract.

Rodgers will also be another year removed from his Achilles injury that he suffered just four offensive snaps into the 2023 season. That isn’t to say he will return to his MVP form but it’s reasonable to expect him to look more comfortable in the pocket in 2025.

Rodgers will have his work cut out for him. He’s joining a division with two of the best quarterbacks in the league in two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the league’s reigning passing yards and touchdowns leader in Joe Burrow.

Nonetheless, Pittsburgh’s opponents can no longer write it off now that Rodgers is leading the charge, and Harbaugh confirmed just that on Friday.
