Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins Leaves Game with Leg Injury

Published

Baltimore running back J.K Dobbins left the Ravens preseason game against Washington Saturday night with an apparent leg injury.

Dobbins, who is entrenched as Baltimore’s starting running back if healthy, had to be carted off the field. The injury occurred after what looked to be a routine tackle following Dobbins’ attempt to gain extra yards off a reception.

Dobbins is coming off a solid rookie season where he ran for 805 yards with 9 touchdowns on 134 carries in 15 games. The 22-year-old Ohio State product could be poised for monster numbers based on his average of 6 yards per carry with even more opportunities as the stater.

While losing Dobbins for any significant period of time would be detrimental to the Ravens run-heavy offense, Baltimore is fortunate to have Gus Edwards, who is widely regarded as among the best backup running backs in the league.

The Ravens selected Dobbins in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
