Adding to the adversity of battling one of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the NFL, the Cleveland Browns may have also lost one of their top pass rushers for the season.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Cleveland fears defensive end Takkarist McKinley suffered a torn Achilles in last night’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

He is reportedly receive an MRI to either calm or confirm the team’s concerns.

McKinley suffered an injury late in the third quarter Monday night, and had to be carted off the field while appearing visibly emotional. Cleveland ruled him out for the remainder of the game shortly after.

A former first round selection of the Atlanta Falcons back in 2017, McKinley signed a one-year contract with the Browns this offseason.

He had recorded 18 combined tackles, three tackles-for-loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble in eleven games played.
