Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool suffered a toe injury in the team’s win over the Chicago Bears on Monday night, but could return sooner than expected
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the team initially feared Claypool’s injury was season-ending, but he is now considered to be week-to-week.
Claypool underwent an MRI on the toe injury Tuesday, and did not participate in Wednesday’s walkthrough session.
The Steelers are already thin at wide receiver with JuJu Smith-Schuster set to miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
Claypool has caught 29 passes for 433 yards and a touchdown this season.
