The Kansas City Chiefs may be without one of their top offensive players on Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers make a visit, as tight end Travis Kelce has been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Kelce, who was named to the 2022 AFC Pro Bowl team on Monday, is second among NFL tight ends with 83 catches, first with 1,066 receiving yards and tied for fourth with seven touchdowns.

According to Schefter, Kelce has been vaccinated, so he may return to the active roster with consecutive negative tests if he remains asymptomatic.

Kelce’s backup is veteran Blake Bell, who has played 94 career games with five teams and is in his second stint in Kansas City. In 13 games this season, Bell has five catches for 41 yards.

The Chiefs do not have any other players currently on the COVID-19 reserve list. The Steelers have just one, nose tackle Montravius Adams Sr.
