Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak is reportedly not expected to return to the Denver Broncos next season.

According to 9News’ Mike Klis, new Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett is exploring offensive line coaches whose philosophy better fits his scheme, while Munchak has opportunities elsewhere.

Munchak previously spent five seasons as the Steelers’ offensive line coach before leaving for Denver after the 2018 season.

Pittsburgh boasted a top ten offense both in points and yards during every year of Munchak’s tenure.

The Steelers are currently in search of their next offensive line coach after Adrian Klemm took the same job with the University of Oregon midseason. Pittsburgh promoted Chris Morgan in an interim capacity to close out the year.

The Steelers were the 29th ranked rushing attack in the NFL this past season. They finished dead last in 2020.
