Chiefs RB Le'Veon Bell

The Baltimore Ravens will sign former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell to their practice squad, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Bell visited with the Ravens for a free agent workout on Monday, along with former Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman.

The Falcons have lost both starter J.K. Dobbins and backup Justice Hall for the season with injuries. Dobbins was placed on the injured reserve list with an ACL injury and Hall is expected to miss the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

Bell, who played with the Steelers from 2013-18, split 2020 between the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs, but has not held and NFL job since his contract expired after Kansas City’s loss to Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV.

Bell’s production has slipped significantly since sitting out the entire 2018 season in order to leave Pittsburgh. He rushed for 789 yards on 245 carries with the Jets in 2019 and set a career low with 328 yards on 82 carries between New York and Kansas City in 2020.
