The Steelers’ Week 12 game against the Baltimore Ravens has been postponed for a third time, and will now be scheduled for Wednesday night at Heinz Field, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 26, and was first re-scheduled to Sunday, Nov. 29 and then to Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The Ravens had one additional player test positive for COVID-19 on Monday, the ninth consecutive day of at least one positive test. The team already had 23 players on the COVID-19 reserve list before the latest positive case.

The game will now be scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 2, the first mid-season Wednesday night game in recent NFL history. There was a season-opening Wednesday night game in 2012.

As currently scheduled, the Steelers would have just three days to then prepare for their Week 13 game, which is currently scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6 at Heinz Field against Washington. Baltimore is scheduled to play Dallas on Monday, Dec. 7.

The Steelers’ Week 13 game could get pushed back to Monday or Tuesday as a result of Monday’s decision by the NFL.
