Steelers Trade OLB Melvin Ingram to Chiefs for 6th Round Pick

Published

on

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to trade linebacker Melvin Ingram to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs will be sending a 6th round pick back to the Steelers in exchange for Ingram.

This move comes after Ingram’s desire to be traded was made public about a week ago. The 32-year-old linebacker, who joined the Steelers on a one-year this offseason, grew unhappy about his playing time this season. His role in Pittsburgh saw him behind both T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith on the depth chart.

Ingram has also been dealing with a groin injury, which caused him to be made inactive for the Steelers last game in Cleveland.
