The Pittsburgh Steelers and outside linebacker T.J. Watt have agreed to a four-year, $112 million contract extension, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The contract includes $80 million guaranteed at signing and will make Watt the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. The contract will have an average annual value of $28.003 million.

The runner up for NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2020, Watt has earned three consecutive Pro Bowl nods and back-to-back First-Team All-Pro selections. He led the league with 15 sacks and 23 tackles-for-loss in 2020. Watt also paced the NFL with eight forced fumbles in 2019.
