Senior Bowl: Alabama QB Mac Jones Looking to Learn in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. — Mac Jones didn’t need to go to the Senior Bowl.

He won a National Championship and played phenomenally this year for Alabama down the stretch. After all, how much could Jones really prove just off of one week against other Seniors?

For Jones, it was all about the NFL experience of the Senior Bowl.

“I just wanted to come and learn about NFL football,” Jones said. “I wanted to learn a new playbook, which I’ve done a good job with. I understand all the plays. It’s all the same plays, it’s just the verbiage that is different.”

Jones noted that he wanted to lead an offense and command a huddle in Mobile, too. It was all a learning experience for Jones, who had his day cut short once his left ankle began to flare up. While hs is unsure if he will play in Saturday’s game, Jones is sure that learned from the experience, despite having nothing to prove given what he put on tape this season.
