Steelers All 90: OL John Leglue

Published

on

All 90 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 90 members of the Steelers 2021 offseason roster.

77 • John Leglue, first-year offensive tackle
6-foot-6, 301 pounds

Acquired: Signed to the Steelers practice squad in December and re-signed for 2021 on a reserve/future contract.

Last season: Started the year with the Green Bay Packers, but was released after training camp and did not find another team until catching on with the Steelers late in the year.

Career: Leglue joined the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa in 2019 but was released. He spent time on the practice squads of the New Orleans Saints and Packers that season.

College: Made 38 start in his Tulane career, playing every position except for left guard. The bulk of Leglue’s time was spent at right tackle, right guard and center.

Camp outlook: Leglue, along with fellow practice squad holdovers Anthony Coyle and Jarron Jones, probably don’t have path to a roster spot with the Steelers bringing in free agent Joe Haeg and drafting Dan Moore Jr. to shore up the tackle position, but injuries can happen and all could be in line to retain a position on the practice squad.

Future: Leglue will once again be an exclusive-rights free agent after the season.
