Steelers All 91: C/G J.C. Hassenauer

All 91 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 91 members of the Steelers 2019 training camp roster.

60 • J.C. Hassenauer, first-year center/guard

Last year: Signed with the Atlanta Falcons as a UDFA out of Alabama wand was released at the end of training camp. Played with the Birmingham Iron of the AAF this spring before catching on with the Steelers.

Stats: Started at center for the Iron. Made four starts for Alabama as a senior, including in the college football playoffs.

Camp outlook: Behind vets Maurkice Pouncey and B.J. Finney, there will probably be plenty of training camp and preseason reps for players like Hassenauer and Patrick Morris. Hassenauer can also play guard.

Projected role: It’s tough to imagine the team keeping a third center, and players like Fred Johnson and Derwin Gray are definitely ahead of Hassenauer at guard.
