Published

on

All 91 is a Pittsburgh Steelers Now series profiling each of the 91 members of the Steelers 2019 training camp roster.

28 • Mike Hilton, third-year safety

Last year: Made two starts in his second season while maintaining a hold on the Nickel cornerback role for the second straight season.

Stats: Had an interception, eight passes defensed, 57 tackles, six tackles for a loss, a sack, two fumble recoveries and five quarterback hits.

Accolades, Highlights:

Camp outlook: Hilton will be battling for sub package snaps with Cameron Sutton and perhaps Artie Burns.

He’s also looking for a new contract after signing his one-year ERFA tender on the eve of camp. He’ll be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Projected role: Hilton should be the team’s starting Nickel cornerback — a role that now plays the majority of the team’s snaps.
