The Pittsburgh Steelers are more than a touchdown underdog at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to odds posted this week by FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Steelers opened as 7.5-point underdogs against the Buccaneers, with that line holding steady as of Tuesday morning. The team’s money line is +300 and the over/under total is 43.5.

The Steelers have been underdogs in four of five games this season, and have not been good to those betting on them. The Steelers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last four games, three of them as underdogs. Pittsburgh even was unable to cover a historic 14-point margin in its Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills, losing 35-3.

The Steelers do have one outright win as an underdog this season, in the opener at Cincinnati. They were favored at home once, pushing a three-point spread in a loss to the New England Patriots. Overall, Pittsburgh is 1-3-1 against the spread, 1-2-1 as an underdog and 0-1 as a home underdog.

The Buccaneers are favored for the sixth consecutive game to start the season, but have failed to cover the last three. They beat the Atlanta Falcons, 21-15 as 10-point favorites in Week 5. Tampa lost as favorites to the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs in Weeks 3 and 4. Overall, Tom Brady’s bunch is 2-3 against the spread, 2-3 as a favorite, and 2-0 as a road favorite.

Only one of Tampa’s five games has gone over the total, and only one had more points scored than the 43.5 total for this game. The Steelers have had two of their games go over their totals, and two games with more than 43.5 points scored.

The Steelers and Buccaneers haven’t met since 2018, a 30-27 Steelers win. The last game in Pittsburgh was a 27-24 Tampa victory in 2014. Overall, the Steelers are 9-2 against Tampa in their history.
