Steelers Camp Minute: First Day in Pads a Positive One for Ground Game

UNITY TWP, Pa. — The Steelers put the pads on for the first time in 2019, and they might have found some hope for a running game that struggled at times a year ago in the process.

It was only one practice, but the Steelers running game pushed around its defense with big chunk plays and Benny Snell showed up in a big way in the backs on backers drill, giving the offense what looks like a three-headed monster at the position that could give offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner the flexibility to play multiple-back sets and give his offense the balance it needs.
