Steelers Cut Veterans Marcus Allen, Johnny Holton, Eli Rogers

The Steelers cut their roster down to the 53-man maximum ahead of the 4 p.m. deadline on Saturday, and in the process, released veterans Marcus Allen, Johnny Holton and Eli Rogers.

Other players announced in the final round of cuts were quarterback Devlin Hodges, running backs Trey Edmunds and Travon McMillian, wide receivers Tevin Jones and Trey Griffey, offensive linemen Garrett Brumfield, J.C. Hassenauer and Damian Prince, tight ends Micky Crum and Christian Scotland-Williamson, defensive linemen Winston Craig, Greg Gilmore and Conor Sheehy, inside linebackers Tegray Scales and Robert Spillane, defensive backs Dravon Askew-Henry, P.J. Locke and Trevon Mathis and kicker Matthew Wright.

Those came in addition to the 16 previously reported cuts and the trade of tackle Jerald Hawkins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
