Steelers Daily: Heinz Hanging Around; Steelers Top FA Team
The ketchup bottles are down, but you will still see the Heinz name around Acrisure Stadium this year, PFF says the Steelers get the most bang for their buck in free agency and more.
Heinz and the Steelers made a five-year agreement to continue to serve Heinz products around Acrisure Stadium, and the Heinz red zone sponsorship will continue, though without its trademarked ketchup bottles, which were removed earlier this week.
According to a Pro Football Focus study, the Steelers are the second-best team in the NFL in terms of getting the most value per dollar out of their free agent signings. The study was conducted with data from 2013-21 and excluded one-year contracts. The Green Bay Packers did the best.
With important free agent additions this offseason in Mitch Trubisky, James Daniels, Mason Cole, Myles Jacks and Levi Wallace, they had better hope that trend holds.
Franco Harris will be the Steelers honorary captain for their 34th annual run/walk on Sept. 3, another part of the team’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception
