Steelers WRs

Diontae Johnson was a limited participant in the first Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 training camp practice on Thursday, the latest contract-seeking Steelers player to hold in, and rookie wide receivers George Pickens and Calvin Austin III stepped up to make big plays in his absence.

🏈 The fans seem to have turned on Diontae Johnson, but is it a big deal for him to sit out team periods at training camp? Alan Saunders doesn’t think so. More from Diontae Johnson, about wanting a long-term deal with Pittsburgh.

🏈 Steelers Sights and Sounds: First reps for Pickens, Austin and first-round quarterback Kenny Pickett.

🏈 The Steelers are hoping that Najee Harris will become the next big leader for the team. Harris said he wants some help in the backfield, walking back his previous comments.

🏈 SN Debate: What is the biggest hole remaining on the Steelers roster? Saunders thinks it’s tackle, but Cale Berger is looking at the lack of depth at outside linebacker.

🏈 Want a Mitch Trubisky jersey for the low, low price of $20? You only have to drive to Chicago. And deal with the fact that it’s a Bears jersey. Doesn’t seem like the purchasing department anticipated him leaving so soon.

🏈 Troy Polamalu’s nephew, Talati Polamalu, is trying out for a role with the WWE.
