Steelers Daily Links: 10 Dolphins on Injury List, Mason Rudolph Trade?

The trade rumors continue to fly as the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to struggle through the early part of the season leading up to the trade deadline.

 CBS Sports speculated that Pittsburgh could trade third-string quarterback Mason Rudolph to the Chicago Bears for cornerback William Jackson III and a swap of draft pick.

“Their secondary could use reinforcements, they liked Jackson coming out of Houston and they’ve revived former AFC North rivals at this position before,” Cody Benjamin wrote.

 Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who came under fire for playing Tua Tagovailoa before this concussion earlier this month, chose not to weigh in on the decision to play Kenny Pickett this week.

“I would never venture to be an expert at that,” McDaniel said. “I’ll let the Steelers worry about the Steelers.”

 The Miami Dolphins have nine players that are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game and one — CB Keion Crossen — that is doubtful.

 Steelers senior defensive assistant Brian Flores told ESPN he bought a house near Mike Tomlin when he took the job with the team this offseason.

 The game is on national TV this Sunday night. Earlier in the day, Pittsburgh will get the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens on CBS at 1 p.m., the Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals on FOX at 1 p.m. and the Kansas City Chiefs at the San Francisco 49ers on FOX at 4 p.m., from 506 Sports.

 Pittsburgh had a scout in attendance for Friday’s game between Tulsa and Temple.

🎂 Happy 40th birthday to Pittsburgh Steelers tight end great Heath Miller. Former Steelers defensive back Allen Rossum turns 47 today.

 On this date in 2017, the Steelers were tied 14-14 with the Cincinnati Bengals with under two minutes to play in the first half when Chris Boswell kicked one of five consecutive field goals to give the team a 29-14 victory. Combined with the two extra points, Boswell scored 17 points in the game.
